CHARLOTTE BRYAN*

16 year-old swimmer Charlotte comes from a sporty background with both her father and brother playing rugby at county level and her mum a keen squash player and canoeist.
A pupil at Alun School in Mold, Flintshire; Charlotte reached the top 100 in Europe for the 100m butterfly at just 13 years-old and likes to paint, draw and be with friends in her spare time.
She made her senior debut at the Celtic Tri Nations Championships in May 2011 where she won a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke.

17 year-old Sara first started swimming at the age of nine and went on to qualify for the Wales National Youth squad a year early.
The Bridgend-born swimmer is the only member of the team to have Commonwealth Youth Games experience, having competed in Pune in 2008 where she won two individual bronze medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and a silver alongside Jemma Lowe, Jazz Carlin and Alys Thomas for the 4x100m medley relay.
A successful 2010 for Sara saw her take home the bronze in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 4x100m medley relay from the European Championships and she also qualified for the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.

15 year-old Chloe Tutton is another of the swimmers trained by Dave Haller at Cardiff City Swim Club.
Taking to the water at just six months old, Chloe hasn’t looked back and joined her first club and swam her first mile at the age of four!
The Pontypridd-born swimmer certainly made her mark at the British Championships in 2011 by beating PBs and breaking records left, right and centre, including in the 100m freestyle.

Introduced to athletics at school, 15 year-old Ffion from Cardiff fell in love with it. It was her father that spotted her talent and went about finding his daughter a coach to get her to where she is today.
With fellow Welsh Athletes David Guest and Christian Malcolm as her heroes, Ffion has battled her way back from a back injury and is the current Welsh Senior Champion after jumping a height of 1.68m.

Sprinter Dewi Hammond is the current Welsh U20 Champion and holds and extremely impressive record of wins.
Originally from Bromsgrove, the 17 year-old will be part of six-strong squad of Athletes travelling to the Isle of Man with Team Wales.

Carmarthen Harriers athlete Carys has been coached by Ralph Siggey for the past five years and is a pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School.
2011 has been a successful year for the 16 year-old having won Welsh U17 Championship javelin title and the Welsh Schools middle age group Championships, topped off by not only selection for the Commonwealth Youth Games but also to represent GB at the European Youth Olympic Festival.

18 year-old Owain Doull’s cycling career has already seen him tot up the medals and results and in 2009 alone he added British National Points Race Champion, second in the Junior Vuelta and the Isle of Man International Youth Tour and third in the British National Scratch Championships and British National Pursuit Championships to his tally.
More recently, the Cardiff-rider scooped a silver medal at the Junior World Track Championships in 2010.

Despite being fairly new to the sport, 16 year-old Amy Roberts has positioned herself as a very powerful cyclist and is hoping to follow in the footsteps of team mate Owain Doull and on to the British Cycling Olympic Development Programme.
